Villas in Alcudia

Villas in Alcudia to discover the most historical Majorca

Alcudia is one of the towns with more history in Majorca, not cause it’s one of the oldest, but perhaps cause’ due to its good location it was one of the most attacked towns and a very important sea connection around all the Mediterranean Sea.

Things to do in Alcudia

  • One of the most important buildings we’ll find in Alcudia is its well-kept Wall, which you can visit and see the whole town from above. The Wall was built by the King Jaume III by the ends of the XIII century to protect town from the mentioned attacks and has been kept til’ today as an architectonic masterpiece that represents Alcudia and its culture.
  • The ancient Roman town of Pollentia was built in the 1stcentury and in it we’ll find a Forum and a theatre, even a residential zone that’ll take us to those ancient times from whose we only have some ruins left.  All has to be said… amazing ruins!
  • Sa Bassa Blanca museum. This museum opened its doors in 1993 and shines not just because it’s filled with amazing works of art, but also due to its wonderful architecture designed by Hassan Fathy. In it we’ll be able to find a permanent exposition along others that are temporary.

Alcudia Port, Alcanada and Es Mal Pas

Alcudia goes beyond its town, it has plenty other magical places we can and must discover, such as:

  • Alcudia Port. Currently known as one of the main tourist destinations by families, Alcudia Port brings us hundreds of meters of clear sand and pines, besides turquoise waters. A few meters have to be walked in if we want the water to cover our legs, which makes it great for kids.
  • This cute residential zone is usually visited by locals that know of it and visit it as a refuge from the big beaches. Its beach, made by rocks and crystal water, invites us to relax or take a walk and go swimming or walking until the lighthouse that’s located in a small island in front of the beach.
  • Es Mal Pas, Manresa and Bonaire. The residential area of Alcudia can be found on the north of Majorca and, eventhough it’s true that many locals live there, it’s one of the quietest areas in Alcudia. There we’ll find sand and rock beaches, an idyllic place for those who want to leave the crowded spots.
