Visit Palma during Whitsun<\/h2>\n

Palma is one of the most cosmopolitan capitals from all over the Mediterranean Sea. In it we can find from museums to clubs to get relaxed. But which are the most representative places to visit from Palma?<\/p>\n

Plaza Espa\u00f1a<\/h3>\n

The Plaza Espa\u00f1a is the entry point to the center of Palma and the meeting point of many people too. In this square we can see the King Jaume 1st statue. He was Aragon\u2019s king in between 1213-1276. King Jaume 1st was known as the Conqueror due to its multiple conquers, among them, Majorca.
Also, in Plaza Espa\u00f1a there\u2019re the train, bus and subway stations just in case you\u2019d like to jump in one of these and have a ride through town or some close village. Besides, the square is where most of the city bus stop. No doubt, the first place to visit in Majorca to start the route around Palma.<\/p>\n

La Rambla<\/h3>\n

La Rambla de Palma is a pedestrian street located in the center of Palma, very similar to the Rambla of Barcelona. In this promenade there\u2019re a few kiosks where all kind of flowers are sold.
Long time ago, through this promenade there was a small river, \u201cSa Riera\u201d, but its path was shifted and now it goes across the old walls of Palma.<\/p>\n

Passeig del Born<\/h3>\n

The Passeig del Born is located between Plaza de Juan Carlos I and Plaza de la Reina. The Passeig del Born is one of the most crowded places for the Palma people since it has a boulevard shape and it\u2019s filled with shops and restaurants. There are also two sphinxes at the beginning and two sphinxes at the end of the promenade, which make it peculiar.
It\u2019s also surrounded by big trees that offer some shadow and make a unique environment.<\/p>\n

Paseo Mar\u00edtimo<\/h3>\n

The Seaside Promenade is a lovely place to visite while in Majorca. It starts in a small fishermen port and keeps going to the commercial port to end in the military port of Palma. It\u2019s 4km long and a niche choice to go riding a bike through it while you admire the scenery of Mallorca such as La Seu (Majorca\u2019s cathedral), L\u2019Almudaina Palace and, finally, Bellver\u2019s Castle. These are three imprescindible places that one must visit when coming on Whitsun in Majorca.<\/p>\n

Visit some charming Majorcan towns<\/h2>\n

Sant Elm<\/h3>\n

Sant Elm is the perfect place for those who love hiking and nature. Besides its lovely sea views, Sant Elm also has leafy woods. It\u2019s also a fishermen town which means that you\u2019ll be able to see the fishermen doing their job, the boats and some fishes recently fished. Also, you can\u2019t leave without seeing the lovely sunset while you\u2019re having a drink.<\/p>\n

Soller<\/h3>\n

A great idea to get to Soller is riding the Ferrocarril de Soller, an old train that goes from Palma to Soller. This way you\u2019ll be able to see a charming view of Majorca while sitting in the train. Also, the train allows you to stop in Mirador Pujol de\u2019n Banya, a lookout from which you\u2019ll be able to take some photos and enjoy the views.
Once you\u2019re in Soller you\u2019ll be able to go for a walk and later, grab another train. This one takes you from Soller to the Port de Soller where you\u2019ll see one of the prettiest sunsets and a charming beach.<\/p>\n

Fornalutx<\/h3>\n

Another place to visit in Majorca during the Whitsun Holidays is the cozy town Fornalutx. This town has some awards and nowadays it\u2019s also one of the prettiest towns of Spain. It\u2019s one of the cutest towns of Majorca, so a visit to it has to be done. Enjoy its old streets, its traditional architecture and feel refreshed with the Serra de Tramuntana\u2019s nature.<\/p>\n

Vist the natural parks of Majorca<\/h2>\n

Parc Natural de S\u2019albufera de Mallorca<\/h3>\n

It\u2019s one of the most protected zones of Majorca in order to preserve its natural habitat. Besides, it\u2019s the widest humid zone in the Balearic Islands. In this natural park you can do 4 routes to get to really know the ecosystem. There\u2019s also an observation zone called Es Colombards where a wide variety of birds can be seen. It\u2019s ideal to go with kids so they can learn a little bit more about the fauna, but be careful! It has to be silent so the birds won\u2019t scare.<\/p>\n

Parc Natural de la Pen\u00ednsula de Llevant<\/h3>\n

Its lenght is 1671 hectares which are ideal for hiking, cycling and snorkel. You\u2019ll be able to observe a big quantity of vegetation and fauna, specially birds (the most special animal types in the Peninsula de Llevant) such as the audouin gull, the peregrine falcon, eagles and cormorants.
