Torre Saura County Palace in Ciutadella
h
Ciutadella preserves one of the most spectacular architectural ensembles in Menorca. The old town has remained perfectly intact throughout history, thanks to urban transformations carried out with discretion and restraint, in order to preserve the essence of its ancestors.
The Torre Saura County Palace is one of the most emblematic buildings, with its privileged location overlooking Plaça des Born and its impressive interior dimensions. With its refined style of Menorca's neoclassical civil architecture, it was completed in 1893 by Ildefonso Hernández.
Inside, the Torre Saura palace houses splendid halls of unusual dimensions in Menorca, including the throne room, which was fitted out for Queen Isabella II's stay in the house in 1860.
You can visit, discover and explore the most illustrious curiosities of the palace and the noble family of Torre Saura.
