Santa Barbara Castle – Alicante:

Located at the top of the Benacantil mountain, it is a rocky mass of 167 m high, with an enormous strategic value since from it you can see the whole bay of Alicante and its surroundings. For centuries, it has witnessed numerous historical events, including the Muslim occupation and the Christian Reconquest. With three fortified enclosures, it also has lifts to go up to the castle illo. Archaeological remains from the Bronze Age, Iberian and Roman times have been found on its slopes.

Peñíscola Castle – Castellón:
