Information about La forca

Welcome o this majestic villa, located on the outskirts of Santa Margalida, with capacity for 8 guests, where this impressive stone house surrounded by a great garden with private pool is waiting for you.
The incomparable beauty of this finca is going fascinate you. It emanates a great feeling of peace and calm thanks to the large extension of green artificial lawn around the absolutely wonderful Mallorcan stone building. Every day when you wake up or maybe in the afternoon, you can have a walk, with total privacy, not only around this beautiful greenery, but also throughout the 14000 m2 of fields belonging to this finca. This will help you to relax and enjoy a nice day in the chlorine pool. It sizes 12 x 5.5 metres with a water depth that ranges from 1 to 1.8 metres, and it also features a 1.20 metres long children pool with 0.5 metres depth, 10 sun loungers, 2 Bali beds, an exterior shower and a large table with chairs around. A true paradise!! In addition, there is a ping-pong table and three bicycles.

With two storeys and a spectacular decoration, the house offers a great glazed porch where you can prepare succulent recipes on the gas barbecue. From here you can access the inside, where you find a spacious living-dining room, perfect to spend family or friend time on the chaise longue sofas by the TV with satellite channels. The kitchen also is open to the same room and it becomes the best place for the family master chef, who will be entertained by the ceramic hob while the rest of you enjoy an appetiser on the bar stools or lay the table. The laundry room is independent and it is equipped with a washing machine, an iron, an ironing board and a tumble dryer. There are 5 bedrooms in total, all of them with two twin beds and a wardrobe, but one which has a walk-in closet. Two of them are located downstairs, one with an en-suite bathroom with a shower and a tub. There is another bathroom and a toilet for the rest of the floor. The rest of the rooms are upstairs. One has an en-suite shower bathroom, and another one features an en-suite bathroom with separated shower and tub. Two out of the three rooms also have direct access to the sunny terrace with pool views. And if you are travelling with your babies we can provide up to 2 cots and 2 high chairs. Finally, it should be pointed out that there are 2 stationary bicycles in the house and that it is equipped with ducted air-conditioning. For sure, these will be convincing enough to come to enjoy your vacation in here!

The property is about 800 metres away from the village of Santa Margarita, a very quiet area within the island, very well connected and with all needed services for an independent stay like bars, restaurants, petrol station, supermarket, etc. It has an easy access by road to the coast, including beautiful beach areas like Puerto de Alcudia or Can Picafort, where you can enjoy the crystalline waters, the white and fine sand, and the delicious paellas by the sea.

Absolutely Beautiful

his villa is absolutely beautiful, the photos don’t do it justice. Unfortunately we had a huge problem with ants ( which we would expect at this time of year) they were literally crawling over us in our beds and it makes sitting outside to eat unpleasant as they are everywhere and over the sun beds. Ant spray is left for you but we actually went through 5 large cans in one week. We spent so much of our holiday spraying ants and going out to purchase more spray. The fumes from the sprays are so strong and not suitable for rooms with children in them. The villa is spacious and the grounds are beautiful. Our only complaint would be the beds. Single beds pushed together in every room with flat sheets. You found yourself lying on the bare mattress in the morning. Also be aware there is no welcome pack so you are left to work out everything in the villa. It would be nice to have a bit if information about the area, the villa itself, local amenities etc. We were unfortunate enough to need both a doctor and ambulance whilst there and local emergency numbers would of been very useful. If we didn’t have mobile phones we would have been very stuck. Santa Margalida is a pretty quiet town. There are two small restaurant/ cafés in the square. Jimmy’s is by far the nicer one! Muro beachside restaurants were very good offering a variety of dishes at reasonable prices. In summary it is a beautiful villa and lovely area. What would of made our stay much more enjoyable would have been some information when we arrived. Also, as previously mentioned we understand ants are a part of the climate and area but there must be a way to fumigate in between stays. Ants in the beds, washing machine, dishwasher etc as well as over every table, sun-bed and hammock every day does take the shine of such a beautiful place. I don’t want to sound like we’re moaning but this wasn’t a cheap villa and to be told to go to the shops and buy spray when you’ve got ants crawling over you at night isn’t the response I would have expected. Again, it’s a moan but only because it’s something that can be rectified and does spoil your stay.
